Gizzards with Spaghetti

When we think of gizzards, we often associate them with snacks, but they can also be a main dish.
This is one of the most economical dishes that we can make at home.
Gizzards are available at any supermarket, frozen or fresh.
Try it, it's simply divine.
You can make this with any pasta of your choice.

Ingredients

• 1 kg (2.2 lb) of cleaned gizzards, cut into pieces
• 80 ml (1/3 cup) of olive oil
• 1 chopped onion
• 4 cloves of garlic, chopped
• 2 bay leaves
• 100 g (3.5 oz) of chorizo, cut into small cubes
• 250 ml (1 cup) of tomato pulp
• 200 ml (3/4 cup) of white wine
• 1.3 l (45.8 fl oz) of boiling natural chicken broth
• 350 g (12.3 oz) of spaghetti
• Salt
• Pepper

Instructions

   Season the gizzards with salt and pepper.

   In a large pan, heat the olive oil, onion, garlic, bay leaves, and chorizo.
   Stir and let it sauté until golden.
   When the sauté is golden, add the gizzards and let them fry evenly until the meat takes on color.

   When the gizzards start to release water, add the tomato pulp, white wine, and chicken broth.
   Stir, cover, and let it cook over medium heat for 40 minutes.

   After this time and when the gizzards are tender, add the spaghetti and stir well with a fork so the pasta doesn't stick.
   When the spaghetti starts to soften, cover and let it cook over medium heat for 8 minutes.
