These cookies are very easy to make and can be decorated with sugar paste or icing for parties.
You can also fill them to your liking, such as with strawberry jam.

In a bowl, knead the butter with the sugar.
After the butter and sugar are mixed, add the lemon zest and egg yolks.
Knead very well.
Finally, add the flour and knead it all together.

Place the dough on a work surface and shape it into a ball.
Once the dough comes together, roll it out to about 4mm thick.
Cut out the cookies using a cookie cutter or a glass.

Place the cookies on baking trays greased with butter and sprinkled with flour.
Sprinkle the cookies with sugar.

Bake in a preheated oven at 220°C (approx. 428°F) for 10 minutes.
Once the cookies turn golden, remove them and let them cool.
Once cooled, they are ready to serve.
