Black Beer Chicken

Black beer is perfect for preparing meat dishes.
If you wish, you can use this sauce to make beef or turkey steaks.
You can also use other mushrooms, such as mixed or Paris.

Ingredients

• 1 chicken cut into pieces or 4 chicken legs cut in half
• 4 tablespoons of olive oil
• 1 chopped onion
• 2 chopped garlic cloves
• 2 bay leaves
• 200 ml (7 fl oz) of natural chicken broth
• 250 ml (1 cup) of black beer
• 300 g (0.66 lbs) of sliced Portobello mushrooms
• 200 ml (7 fl oz) of cream
• Salt
• 5 pepper mix
• Lemon juice
• Chopped parsley

Instructions

   Season the chicken evenly with salt, pepper to taste, and lemon juice.
   Let the meat marinate for 10 to 20 minutes.

   In a large pot, heat the olive oil, onion, garlic, and bay leaf.
   Stir and let it sauté slightly without browning.

   When everything is hot, add the chicken pieces and let the meat brown, 5 minutes on each side.

   After the time, add the mushrooms and chicken broth.
   Stir, cover, and cook on high heat for 10 minutes.

   After the time, stir and add the black beer.
   Cover again and cook on medium heat for 15 minutes.
   Halfway through the time, turn the chicken pieces.

   After the time, remove the lid and if necessary and the sauce is too dry, add a little more chicken broth or black beer.

   When it is boiling, mix in the cream.
   Stir and let the sauce thicken for a few minutes until it becomes thick.

   When it is ready, turn off the heat and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
