Tuna Pica-Pau

This recipe is very quick to prepare and ideal for summer, either as a snack or main dish, accompanied by a salad or french fries.
You can also make this recipe with salmon fillets.

Ingredients

• 500 g (1.1 lbs) of preferably thick tuna steaks
• Salt
• 5 tablespoons of olive oil
• 4 cloves of garlic, sliced
• 2 bay leaves
• Chili peppers to taste
• 2 heaped teaspoons of grain mustard
• 100 ml (3.4 fl oz) of beer
• 2 tablespoons of butter
• Chopped parsley leaves
• Black olives
• Chopped pickles
• 1 lemon cut into 4 wedges

   Season the tuna steaks on both sides with salt.

   In a large frying pan, heat the olive oil, garlic, bay leaves, and chili peppers.
   Stir and let it heat up well.

   When the oil is very hot and without browning the garlic, put the steaks in the pan.
   Fry for about 15 to 20 seconds, just so that the tuna gets some color.
   Turn and fry for another 15 seconds.
   Immediately remove the tuna and set aside.

   Reduce the heat and in the pan, put the mustard and stir well.
   Gradually, while stirring, add the beer.
   Let it boil for 30 seconds.

   Add the butter, stir, and as soon as it melts, turn off the heat.
   Drizzle the sauce with ¼ of the lemon.
   Add the parsley and stir.

   Cut the tuna steaks into thin slices and place on a serving platter.

   Drizzle the steaks with the sauce and garnish to taste with the pickles, olives, and lemon wedges.
