Roast Beef with Mushrooms

This Roast Beef with Mushrooms recipe features beef sirloin and fresh quartered mushrooms as the primary ingredients, creating a savory dish.

Ingredients

• 700 g (1 lb 8 oz) beef sirloin
• 700 g (1 lb 8 oz) fresh mushrooms, quartered
• 1 tablespoon lard
• 75 g (⅓ cup) butter
• 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
• 1 and ½ teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
• Chopped parsley, to taste
• Salt, to taste
• Black pepper, to taste

   Season the beef: Season the meat on both sides with salt and black pepper.

   Cook the meat: In a skillet, heat the lard over medium–low heat.
   Add the beef and cook gently to avoid burning.
   Fry for about 7½ minutes per side, for a total of 30 minutes.

   Add the beef and fry briefly on each side, just to enhance the flavor.
   Remove the meat and set aside.
