Orange Roll Cake

Orange roll cake is one of the most traditional desserts in our country, especially in winter when our oranges are the best in the world, sweet and juicy.

Ingredients

• 8 eggs
• 350 g of sugar
• 1 teaspoon of wheat flour
• Juice and zest of 2 oranges
• 80 g of butter
• Butter for greasing
• 50 g of sugar for sprinkling
• Parchment paper
• 1 orange for decoration

Instructions

   Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F).

   Grease a baking tray with butter, line with parchment paper, and grease again with butter.
   Melt the butter in the microwave or in a double boiler.

   In a bowl, mix the sugar with the wheat flour.
   Then add the eggs, the orange zest and juice, and lightly beat with a mixer.
   Then add the melted butter.

   Pour the mixture into the tray and bake in the oven for approximately 20 minutes.

   Once cooked, remove from the oven and flip the tray onto a cloth sprinkled with 50 g of sugar, roll up the cake and let it cool slightly.
   Place the roll cake on a plate decorated with orange slices cut into half-moons.
