Delicious Shrimp Pâté

This very tasty pâté is perfect for celebrations such as Christmas and New Year's, gatherings with family and friends.
It is a simple starter with a unique flavor due to the shrimp being cooked in the skillet.
You can also use it to make a salad or delightful sandwiches with lettuce, tomato, and egg... the kind we love to take to the beach in summer.

Ingredients

• 500 g (1 lb 1 oz) of thawed or fresh shrimp
• Half a small onion, finely chopped
• 1 clove of garlic, finely chopped
• 50 g (3.5 tbsp) of salted butter
• 1 sprig of parsley, finely chopped
• 30 ml (2 tbsp) of whisky
• 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
• 1 teaspoon of Tabasco
• 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
• 100 g (3.5 oz) of whisky cocktail sauce
• 250 g (1 cup) of mayonnaise
• 1 teaspoon of fleur de sel
• Pepper to taste

Instructions

   In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
   Add the onion and garlic.
   Once heated, add the shrimp.

   Season with fleur de sel, Tabasco, and Worcestershire sauce.
   Mix the seasonings with the shrimp and add the whisky and chopped parsley.
   Cover and let it cook over medium heat without letting the sauce dry out.

   After 5 minutes, drizzle with lemon juice.
   Mix and turn off the heat.
   Drain the shrimp one by one and place them on a plate.
   Reserve the sauce and let everything cool.

   Peel the shrimp and chop them into small pieces.
   Set aside along with the chopped parsley.

   Place the reserved sauce in a bowl.
   Mix the cocktail sauce, mayonnaise, and chopped shrimp with the parsley.

   Finally, season with a bit of pepper.
   Stir well, cover, and refrigerate until chilled.
   When serving, accompany to taste with bread and toast.
